The new Baldwin Street roundabout in Whitby is complete, and the Town is using the occasion to explain why it builds roundabouts in the first place — and how residents should use them.

In a post published on its website, the Town of Whitby took on a common piece of local skepticism: "Roundabouts aren't as safe as regular intersections." The Town argues the opposite, saying the design is exactly what makes the intersections safer.
