Repairs are underway at Whitby Town Hall, with roof replacement and concrete work scheduled to continue until Friday, Oct. 16.

The work began Wednesday, Sept. 30, and is taking place daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a Town of Whitby notice of service disruption. Residents visiting Town Hall during those hours should expect renovation noise, and the west entrance is closed while crews are on site.

The Town did not say whether any services inside the building are affected beyond the entrance closure, but the notice advises residents to plan visits accordingly.

Other fall service changes

The Town also flagged seasonal limits on bookings. Booking availability is limited from now until Nov. 1, as crews focus on fall priorities including leaf and yard waste collection. New booking dates will open again in early December.

Residents can explore the Fieldgate Sports Complex through a virtual self-guided tour on the Town's website while in-person availability is reduced.

With the municipal election approaching, the Town is also encouraging residents to check whether they are on the Voters' List, learn about candidates and find voting locations at whitby.ca/VOTE.
