The Durham District School Board has published a report outlining repairs and upgrades at its schools, including those serving Pickering students, as part of what it describes as a continued push to modernize its facilities.

The School Renewal Investment Report, dated October 2026, was released in accordance with Ministry of Education directives, according to the Durham District School Board. It lists renewal projects completed over the past school year as well as work currently underway or planned for the near future.

The projects are supported through the School Operations Allocation of Core Education Funding, including School Condition Improvement (SCI) and School Renewal Allocation (SRA) funds, the board said.

The board says the investments reflect its commitment to creating modern, safe and healthy learning environments for students and staff across its jurisdiction, which includes public schools in Pickering and elsewhere in Durham Region.

The report has been posted on the board's website, and the board says it will keep all such reports up to date. It describes that ongoing posting as part of ensuring transparency and accountability in its efforts to support modern, healthy learning environments.

The board is asking families and residents to revisit the page for updated reports. The full report is available as a PDF through the board's website.

The Durham District School Board is headquartered at 400 Taunton Road East in Whitby. Further information about the renewal projects is available through the board's website at ddsb.ca.
